to quote an ok movie "it's the social event of the season". kind of the best bill i've ever been on, Taurus Judge get more and more sonically insular each time i see them, Starr 67 had maybe the loudest snare drum ive ever heard, and mICROgOBLET continue to kill even if i've run out of ways to photograph them at Mini Mart. this was also the last show from Giant, who completely blew my mind when i first saw them in July 2024, and did so again several more times across their life. no other band in this city has broken down what a guitar part can be like them, and i hope they inspire others to do the same. rest in peace.
